Search Layouts

Search Layouts are attributes of managed Custom Objects that can be edited by the Subscriber.

When the ISV makes changes to a Search Layout (adding or deleting fields, buttons), these changes will not be delivered to subscribers via package upgrade.

What’s Updated by ZuppIO​

✔ All Search Layouts from managed Custom Objects are copied as-is from Source to Target org.

However, some components are excluded automatically if they cannot be copied:

  • Managed Quick Actions if missing in the Target org.
  • Managed Web Links (Custom Buttons) if missing in the Target org.
  • Managed Custom Fields that do not exist in the Target org.

What’s Ignored by ZuppIO​

ZuppIO does not update:

  • Search Layouts from managed Custom Objects that do not exist in the Target org.
